BEHIND THE DESIGN

The legend was that in time of famine, the mother pelican wounded herself, striking her breast with the beak to feed her young with her blood to prevent starvation.

Another version of the legend was that the mother fed her dying young with her blood to revive them from death, but in turn lost her own life.

  • The winged hourglass with sickle symbolizes the flight of time and the certainty of death.
  • The Large skull symbolizing death, serpent tail with serpent wings represents Satan.
  • The crescent moon is a representation of Virgin Mary the Queen of Heaven and also redemption.
  • The seven eyes symbolize intervention and the number seven representing perfection.
  • The palm symbolizes victory over death.
  • The triangle is the holy Trinity with in it is the all seeing eye, the eye of God, watching over humankind.

The foundation of this piece is built off sacred geometry, The Sacred "Metatron". This is the key to the universe. Everything that exists does so because of sacred geometry. The Belief that God created the universe according to this geometric plan. The birth of life.
